It all started with our family dogs - Hooper and his son Junior. So many people commented on Hooper's intelligence and personality that we decided to get him a girlfriend (Piper) and bred them to carry on these wonderful traits.
After much research into the Cream Goldens and many breeders, we found a beautiful female puppy with impeccable European lines. In our research, we discovered that the European Cream lines had less incidence of cancer and better longevity on average, with less inbreeding.
Piper and Hooper had their first litter in 2008 and there were not enough puppies to fill the demand!
With so much continued interest in our family dogs, the pair had 2 more litters and Piper had her final litter with Dutch in 2013. Dutch was imported from The Netherlands (Moondust Kennel) and allowed us to have the first all Cream litter.
His personality gave him the nickname "Dopey Dutch", which is where our current name began.
Though we sadly bid goodbye to our dear Piper in 2022, at 15 years young, Dutch remains the head of our pack to this day, after having several more litters with Paris, Pearl and Jade. Through the advancements in veterinary medicine, we are able to have more litters today with samples from Dutch that have been frozen.
Piper's daughter, Paris turned 14 in May 2023. Though she is long retired from breeding, the legacy continues through her son Duke (born in 2015).
Dutch and Paris had several litters, one of which included Duke, who is one of our current studs.
Dutch and Pearl (imported from Croatia) have had several litters and their granddaughter (Emmie) is part of our current pack.
Dutch and Jade had one litter in 2020.
Jade and her brother, Dawson, came to us from The Netherlands in 2017 and remain part of Dopey Dutch pack.
Our son, Cody, has Duke's son from his first litter. Peanut is loved by all who meet him and will hold a conversation with you for hours if you let him. He is quite the character.
Duke is still passing along his father's good looks and mother's intelligence, with a litter soon due from Jade.
Honey (from Belarus in 2016) had her first litter with Duke in 2018. Honey has gone on to have litters with Dawson as well.
One of Paris's girls, Butter, belongs to a family friend and had a litter with Dawson. Biscuit was kept in that family from this litter and was bred in 2023.
Opal (2015 - The Netherlands) has had two litters. The first litter, in 2020 was with a Canadian Grand Champion, which produced Ruby. The second litter (2022), with a fully tested stud from champion blood lines in Russia, produced Zuli.
Emmie (a Pearl/Dutch granddaughter) had her first litter in 2023 with a beautiful stud with Finish bloodlines (Majik Kennel). Emmie has OFA Excellent hips. From this litter, Sterling joined our family and Declan was purchased to be her future partner.
Declan is from parents whose lineages go back to Piper's line, bringing the original genetics back to our line again.
On July 25, 2023, Ruby gave us 8 spectacular puppies with Oskar (imported from the Ukraine with multi-championed parents and highly sought after bloodlines). Ruby has OFA Excellent hips.
We will continue to use our pack and introduce the best of the European lines to produce quality, intelligent, loving and beautiful Goldens to fill more families with the love only a Golden can provide.
